Bespoke large-format concrete worktops

Large-format concrete worktops are ideal for 2m, 3m and 4m surfaces, including oversized kitchen islands, extra-long counters and made-to-measure worktop runs. Whether you are designing a statement island or a continuous concrete surface for an open-plan kitchen, each worktop is poured and finished to suit the project.

Every HAUS concrete worktop is cast using UHPC - ultra-high performance concrete - for strength, density and a smooth architectural finish. The surface is fully sealed for everyday use, with options for cut-outs, modular sections, colour variation and installation support depending on the size and access requirements.

Best suited to

Large concrete worktops are especially suited to:

  • 2m+ concrete kitchen worktops
  • 3m concrete kitchen islands
  • long open-plan counters
  • oversized bespoke concrete surfaces
  • commercial counters and hospitality spaces
  • kitchen islands with sink or hob cut-outs

A statement piece with practical purpose

There is a quiet power in scale. A large concrete worktop can anchor a minimalist kitchen, add contrast to a warm natural interior, or create a sculptural focal point in a commercial space. Designed to be lived with, these oversized surfaces bring weight, texture and permanence to the room.

Practical details

Lead time is approximately 6-8 weeks.

White-glove delivery and installation are available nationwide.

Larger pieces may be cast in multiple sections where access is restricted, with joins planned as discreetly as possible.

A site access review or pre-fit survey may be required for worktops over 3m.

We can advise on cabinetry support, structural base preparation, cut-outs and modular design where needed.

Materials

All of our large format worktops are cast using UHPC (Ultra High Performance Concrete) – a superior architectural-grade mix that ensures long spans, durability, and exceptional finish. Poured by hand and finished in-house, every surface is a one-off piece made to your brief.

Dimensions

Each large concrete worktop is made to order.

Common large-format dimensions include:

* Length: 2000mm-4000mm+
* Depth: 600mm-1200mm
* Thickness: 30mm, 40mm or 50mm+

For oversized concrete worktops, we can advise on modular sections where access is restricted or where a single-piece installation is not practical.

Care information

UHPC is extremely durable, but we still recommend using coasters, placemats or soft pads for long-term protection.

Although each concrete worktop is sealed, avoid dragging heavy, sharp or abrasive items across the surface.

Protective sealants improve stain resistance, but they do not make the surface completely scratch-proof.

To maintain the finish, use felt pads beneath accessories and avoid prolonged contact with harsh cleaning products, oils or acidic substances.

How to Style and Specify a Large Concrete Worktop

A large concrete worktop works best when it is treated as both a practical kitchen surface and an architectural feature. With 2m, 3m and 4m+ sizes available, these worktops are especially suited to kitchen islands, long open-plan counters, breakfast bars and commercial spaces where scale is part of the design.

Best placements for large concrete worktops

Large-format concrete worktops are most effective in spaces with enough room to let the material breathe. They work particularly well as:

  • oversized kitchen islands
  • long runs of kitchen counter
  • open-plan kitchen and dining surfaces
  • breakfast bars with seating
  • commercial counters and hospitality spaces
  • outdoor kitchen worktops where suitable support is in place

Choosing colours and finishes

Concrete has natural tonal variation, which gives each worktop its own depth and character. Soft ivory, beige and warm grey finishes work well in calm, minimal kitchens, especially when paired with timber, linen, stone and brushed metal.

For a stronger architectural look, large concrete worktops can also be paired with dark cabinetry, statement lighting and textured materials such as marble, oak or steel. The key is to balance the scale of the worktop with surrounding materials that feel equally considered.

Practical design details to consider

Large concrete worktops need careful planning before they are made. We can advise on:

  • made-to-measure sizing
  • sink and hob cut-outs
  • tap holes and appliance spacing
  • cabinet and base support
  • modular sections where access is restricted
  • discreet joins for oversized worktop runs
  • delivery and white-glove installation

For kitchens that need a fully bespoke surface, see our bespoke concrete worktops.

Styling the surface

A concrete worktop has strong visual weight, so styling should stay restrained. Use a small number of well-chosen pieces such as ceramic bowls, chopping boards, glassware, foliage or low-profile lighting. Avoid overcrowding the surface, especially on large kitchen islands where the scale of the concrete should remain visible.

For the best finish, combine practical use with negative space. This allows the texture, colour variation and hand-finished surface of the concrete to stay central to the design.
