Medium Concrete Worktops (1–2m)

Balance, beauty and bespoke proportions.

Our Medium Concrete Worktops (ranging from 1000mm to 2000mm) are the most versatile size we offer – ideal for statement islands, side runs, peninsulas or breakfast bars. Whether you’re refining a modern kitchen or enhancing a commercial workspace, these made-to-order pieces combine sleek design with everyday practicality.

Each concrete countertop is cast by hand in our Cheshire studio using UHPC (Ultra High Performance Concrete), then sealed to protect against stains, spills and daily wear. The result is a surface that feels refined, tactile and timeless – built to enhance how you live and move through your space.

Designed to Elevate Everyday Spaces

This size range suits almost every layout. It brings focus and flow to open-plan kitchens, anchors the room visually, and introduces raw texture in a way that feels warm rather than industrial. With natural tonal variation in every pour, your surface will be completely unique – made not just to fit your space, but to elevate it.

An Editor’s Guide to Styling the Concrete worktop

Spatial Placement: Beyond the Expected

When considering where to place a medium concrete worktop, think beyond the kitchen. Its versatile dimensions (1000mm to 2000mm) make it ideal for diverse spaces such as open-plan living areas, where it can serve as a visual anchor or a practical divider between zones. In a loft-style apartment with high ceilings, positioning it as a statement peninsula can enhance spatial flow and create an intimate gathering spot. For smaller rooms, consider a side run or breakfast bar to add functionality without overwhelming the space.

The Colour Palette: Working with Concrete’s Tonal Character

Warm Minimalism

Concrete's unique tonal character lends itself beautifully to warm, minimalistic interiors. Pairing it with layered neutrals - think soft beiges, creams, and taupes - creates a serene environment. Add depth with textured textiles like wool or linen, and incorporate natural wood elements for warmth. This approach highlights the concrete's subtle variations and craftsmanship.

Architectural Contrast

For those who prefer drama, concrete worktops offer an outstanding base for high-contrast designs. Set against darker hues like deep navy or charcoal walls, the concrete's light grey or custom pigment options provide a striking contrast. Incorporate materials like polished wood or marble to enhance this effect. Pay attention to lighting; strategically placed fixtures can emphasize the concrete's texture and create an inviting ambiance.

Form Meets Function: Curated Use & Pairing

The medium concrete worktop is not just a visual asset; it offers unparalleled functionality. Use it as a robust prep surface in kitchens, where its sealed finish resists stains and spills. If space allows, complement it with Bespoke Concrete Furniture to create a cohesive look. Consider integrating seating with high stools for a breakfast bar setup, or use it as a display surface for curated objects.

Styling the Surface: Restrained Curation

To style your concrete worktop, opt for a restrained and thoughtful approach. Choose a few standout pieces, such as oversized ceramics or a seasonal floral arrangement, to add visual interest without clutter. Books with neutral or monochromatic covers can add an intellectual touch. Emphasize scale and proportion; larger items can make a bold statement, while smaller, grouped objects offer a more subtle elegance.
